Although DVD can store considerably more than CD, there are still plenty of applications where multi-disc sets are the best solution for delivering content! Examples are music CDs such as the 4 disc set entitled "Sounds of a Century" featuring Charles Forman which was mentioned in our January news. This excellent collection of music was produced by the University of Calgary Music Department and CBC Radio Two.

Another multi-disc project for CBC was produced by CBC Saskatchewan in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of French radio: 50 ans de radio.

Of course, multi-disc sets are not only used for music. Recent software projects include Open BSD 3.3 using our unique 3CD Slim Case which reduces mailing costs substantially. This special case houses two CDs in a swing tray plus a third on the inside back of the jewel case and uses an adhesive outside label for the back panel and spine.

In situations where different software programs need to be distributed simultaneously, a multi-disc package is convenient and cost effective. Intuit used this solution to deliver 4 CDs containing trial versions of QuickBooks Pro 2003, QuickBooks Premier 2003, QuickBooks Enterprise Edition and QuickBooks Accountant Edition.
