April 2003: News![]() Spring has finally settled in and the warm sunny days are encouraging people to get out and about. With that in mind, a couple of our clients have produced CDs that make traveling a lot more interesting. Rocky Mountain Auto Tours, which has been in business since 1986, has released a series of CDs that provide fascinating facts on various points of interest as drivers travel down the Alberta highways between Banff, Jasper and the Columbia Icefields. ![]() Originally released on audio cassette, they have been converted to CD to accommodate the players that are now installed in newer vehicles. Another company that provides an auto tour on CD is Prairie Falcon Tours. Their historical driving tour covers the Drumheller Valley and was written and produced by Donna Kynaston and Jill Clayton. The popularity of these auto tours demonstrate that there are many other applications for the audio CD format that can be as profitable as music! ![]() Now if you want to confine your driving to the City of Calgary, then we recommend you head on down to Liberty Lounge at the Mount Royal College campus on Saturday, May 10th for singer-songwriter Dolly Sillito's CD Release Party. This is Dolly's debut solo album and it was recorded by our own Gabriel Collins and mastered by Richard Harrow. Also featured at the release party is Marigold Santos who will be opening the show. For more information, visit: www.dollysillito.com As our company continues to grow, the number of clients and applications for the various media products we sell is becoming quite overwhelming. As a result, we will be changing the format of our monthly news to feature specific types of products and brief case studies to help our clients decide what is best suited for their needs. We hope you will enjoy the new and more focused approach and we welcome your feedback. Please send your comments to: webnews@candisc.com |
