January 2003:

News

2003 is officially here and we've hit the ground running with a variety of interesting jobs to ring in the new year! First and foremost, tax season in upon us and we're pleased to announce that H&R Block has chosen Canada Disc & Tape Inc. to provide duplication services for their income tax software. In addition, we are also manufacturing corporate tax software for Intuit/Greenpoint called "Profile".

Many of our corporate clients are taking advantage of our ability to provide quick turnaround by using CD-R duplication for a wide variety of applications. Examples are a real estate brokers program, site licensing for Norton AntiVirus, PC Utilities for Novatel, and CD-Rs for the Calgary Stampede Parade Committee and Nortel Networks. Recordable CDs were also customized with different audio content for over a dozen sales reps for 20/20 Properties using a program entitled "Stock Market Boom or Bust".

Charles foreman 4-Disc set

On the music side, CDs were released by The Dominant Mammals (Oakland, California), Brad Johner, Cathy Miller, Marcel Gagnon, Danielle French, Lisa Hewitt, The Adrian Fortress, and Ann Vriend (Sidetrack Café Contest Winner). Two unique projects this month at different ends of the musical spectrum are a compilation of Hip Hop artists entitled "The Outbreak"and a 4 CD Set produced by the University of Calgary Music Department and CBC Radio Two entitled "Sounds of a Century" featuring Charles Forman on piano.

Great Canadian War Stories package

The diversity of projects also includes an interesting 4 cassette package entitled "Great Canadian War Stories" produced by the University of Alberta Press, a VHS release of "Saskatchewan's 7 Wonders" by CFQC-TV and a floppy disk program for the Legal Ease Library Inc. called "Do-It-Yourself Wills".

CD and CD-R jobs also went out to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, GE Energy, Shell Canada and Conoco. And, the next time you open up a delicious Chocolate CD from the famed Bernard Callebaut we're proud to say the jewel boxes were supplied by Canada Disc & Tape Inc.
